National Sculpture Award “Alimondo Ciampi”

A competition dedicated to contemporary ceramic and terracotta sculpture, created to encourage dialogue between art, public space and local identity.

The selected artworks will become part of a permanent contemporary sculpture route in the Municipality of Signa, with particular reference to the Renai Naturalistic Park.

The Award

The Pro Loco Association of Signa, with the patronage of the Municipality of Signa, the Alimondo Ciampi Foundation, Banco Fiorentino Mugello – Impruneta – Signa and Progetto Renai, announces the first edition of the National Sculpture Award “Alimondo Ciampi”.

The award aims to celebrate the artistic tradition of ceramics and terracotta historically connected to the Signa area, while promoting contemporary artistic research and public art.

Artwork Requirements

Materials

Artworks must be created mainly in ceramic or terracotta, also in combination with other materials.

Public Installation

Works must be conceived for public installation and suitable for permanent outdoor exhibition.

Dimensions

Minimum size: 50 cm per side.
Maximum size: 70 cm per side.

Participation

Each artist may submit one artwork only.

Awards

Over 30 Award

Cash prize of € 2,000.

The winning artwork will be permanently installed in the Renai Naturalistic Park or another public space in the Municipality of Signa.

Under 30 Award

Prize of € 1,000 plus participation in an artistic residency focused on ceramics and sculpture.

People’s Choice Award

Cash prize of € 400 and the opportunity to organize a temporary solo exhibition.

Selection and Exhibition

A jury composed of prominent figures from the artistic and cultural world will select approximately 15 to 20 finalist artworks.

The selected works will be exhibited at Villa Alberti in Signa as part of the award exhibition.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted by July 31st, 2026 through the online form.

The application must include photographs of the artwork, artistic CV, technical sheet and a video of the work.
